BKW Building Solutions’ nationwide network provides building technology from a single source – from electrical and sanitary systems through HVAC to building automation and IT. With such a broad range of trades and network locations, it is not always easy for its more than 4000 employees to retain an overview and stay up to date. The twice-yearly employee magazine «BERT» and various employee films help them do so.

We gave BERT a comprehensive makeover. It began with a content concept featuring new sections and elements for even more consistent cross-media use, followed by a design and cover concept that pushes the group’s corporate design guidelines far enough to create an attractive mix of page types and content elements. The only thing we retained was the name – BERT. Because it is concise and everyone knows what is meant when his name comes up.

BERT is supported by short films portraying employees from across the company network at work. These portraits focus on professional pride, personal development opportunities and the benefits of being part of BKW Building Solutions’ strong network.
